OUR COMPANY POLICY - Ethekwini Battery Services is the holding company for the Cheap Batteries Franchise. We ARE NOT affiliated to any retailer/wholesaler not mentioned on our site. - We DO NOT carry out any guarantee claims for products not purchased from our franchise. Cheap Batteries is an independent franchise. - We DO NOT issue hand written quotations, delivery notes or non-standard company invoices. - We DO NOT refer customers to any third party vendors for any products or services. TERMS AND CONDITIONS - All battery prices listed are inclusive of VAT and a scrap return. Prices may change without prior notice. - Truck batteries (674 and above) require a 674 and above scrap return, no exceptions. A commercial battery scrap fee will apply for no scrap return. - Our guarantee does not cover flat batteries or batteries with casing or pole damage, as per the industry standard. - Our guarantee only covers manufacturers defects. (faulty cells /seam leak) - Genuine faulty claims are replaced immediately. All other cases are referred to the manufacture as per their request. - If a dispute arises, we may need to send a battery back to the supplier for diagnostics. - Guarantees on replaced batteries run from date of purchase and not from replaced date. - Vehicles charging system must be in working order. (13.8v to 14.2v) We will run tests with our equipment if the requirement is present. - We do not replace batteries with a diagnoses from another battery shop / mechanic / auto electrician / agents / google. We run full diagnostics at our branch level. - Our invoice (digital or hardcopy) is required for any guarantee claim. We have a no invoice no guarantee policy as per the consumer policy. - We do not store invoices for reprints or history. There are no backup invoices, You are responsible for your own invoice safekeeping. - We Buy Scraps (PTY) LTD cannot guarantee advertised prices on purchasing scraps as it is based on the volatile rand/dollar and metal exchange rates. - We Buy Scraps (PTY) LTD is a registered scrap exchange company which is a division of Ethekwini Battery Services. - It is a criminal offense to sell a scrap without consent of the owner. A valid ID is required for all transaction. - We reserve all rights. If you are uncertain of any product, service or documentation that you have received, email the franchise on admin@cheapbatteries.co.za and your email will be directed to Ethekwini Battery Services management.
